  • New renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 have leaked.
  • The images showcase the key design changes, including a two-tone design, larger outer display, and vertical rear cameras.
  • The phone is also said to pack an under-display camera.

An alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 render arrived last week showcasing the phone’s second screen redesign. That leak mainly focused on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 sibling, though. Now, the Samsung flipper is sharing none of the limelight in a new substantial leak stemming from GizNext.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3: Design

According to the publication, the phone will be available in a bevy of colors. These shades will reportedly include Beige, Black, Dark Blue, Dark Green, Grey, Light Violet, Pink, and White. All colors will seemingly feature a two-tone design, with the second screen and outer vertical camera array placed within a black panel. This will give the phone a striking appearance from the rear, especially when paired with a lighter colorway.

In addition to the colorways, the images shed some light on other design elements, too. The right-hand side of the phone houses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and volume rocker. Samsung is also seemingly using the same folding system on the device as the first Z Flip. At the phone’s foot sits a USB-C port and a single speaker grille. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, but this was to be expected.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3: Specs

Specifications reportedly include a 1.9-inch cover display — substantially larger than the 1.2-inch screen on the first Galaxy Z Flip. The internal screen seemingly remains the same at 6.7-inches with a 25:9 aspect ratio. That display may however hold an under-display camera. There’s no visible punch hole on the display, so this inclusion seems highly likely.

Beyond these design cues, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also expected to employ the Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with a larger battery. The specs of the rear cameras and the under-display camera are currently unknown. We do know from an FCC listing that the phone will feature 9W Wireless Power Transfer support and wireless charging, NFC, and MST support. It’s unclear if UWB will also feature, though.

Details are coming thick and fast, though. So expect these specifications to surface soon. The flagship Samsung flip phone is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Watch 4, and Galaxy Buds 2 at a rumored event penned for August.

In the meantime, what do you make of the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s design? Do you love the changes, or hate them? Let us know by voting in the poll above.
