The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Release date: June 4
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return to star as Lorraine and Ed Warren in the third Conjuring movie. This one will be exclusive to HBO Max and will tell the story of a young boy accused of murder. The twist in the tale comes when he claims demonic possession as his defense in court. There being no legal precedent for such a case, it’s now up to the two paranormal detectives to prove that the devil is real and the boy is innocent.
Sweet Tooth

Release date: June 4
You’ll finally get to stream Netflix’s post-apocalyptic fairytale show this June. Sweet Tooth tells the story of hybrids — children who are part human, part animal. Humans are unsure if the hybrids are a result of a virus or if they are the cause. Nevertheless, the creatures are hunted and unwanted. The main storyline will revolve around a sheltered hybrid deer-boy named Gus (Christian Convery) who unexpectedly befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd (Nonso Anozie). Together, they set out on an epic adventure across America in search of answers about Gus’ origins and to meet others of his kind. The show is based on a DC comic book series.
Loki

One of the biggest Disney Plus streaming releases, Marvel’s Loki is landing on June 9. A new episode of the six-part show will release every Wednesday on the streaming service. The series will see Tom Hiddleston reprise his role as the god of mischief. After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki gets into trouble with the Time Variance Authority, aka the TVA, for creating a new timeline. He’s now tasked with the job of restoring order to the world, failing which he could face being erased from existence.
Awake

Release date: June 9
This feature-length Netflix film might appeal to many of our readers. In Awake, Jill (Gina Rodriguez), an ex-soldier with a troubled past, sees the world around her crumble when a mysterious global event wipes out all electronics and takes away humanity’s ability to sleep. The key to solving this insomnia crisis might be Jill’s young daughter.
Lupin

Release date: June 11
The gentleman thief is back for another round of deceptions in part two of Netflix‘s popular French TV series. If you haven’t seen the first part, now would be a good time to catch up on all five episodes. For those of you who did catch the show, the new installment will see Assane Diop land himself in a pickle. His son’s been kidnapped and he’s on a quest for revenge against Hubert Pellegrini. What’s his new plan? Your guess is as good as ours.
In The Heights

Release date: June 11
Based on the musical stage play by Lin-Manuel Miranda comes this cinematic event, where the streets are made of music and small dreams become big. “In the Heights” fuses Miranda’s music and lyrics with director Jon M. Chu’s storytelling to capture Washington Heights, a world very much of its place, but universal in its experience. The original stage show was nominated for thirteen Tony Awards and won four, including Best Musical. We hope the film is as much a treat for the eyes as the play.

The spin doctors are back with a whole new set of clients that need exceptional and sometimes criminal PR skills to manage. Anna Paquin will reprise her role as Robyn, the ace celebrity PR manager for the rich and famous. If you haven’t seen the show’s first season till now, you can stream all six episodes on Amazon Prime Video.
Fatherhood

This new Netflix movie will be all heart — emotionally speaking, and also it stars Kevin Hart as a single dad raising a baby daughter. The film arrives just in time for the Father’s Day weekend this June and is based on author Matt Logelin’s memoir “Two Kisses for Maddy.”

The trend of modern TV shows romancing the 80s started with Netflix’s Stranger Things, but many streaming services hopped on to the nostalgia bandwagon soon after. This title is Apple TV Plus‘ chance to go down memory lane. The upcoming dramedy features Rose Byrne as a stay-at-home mum turned ambitious aerobics instructor. It’s the 80’s vibe in full swing, so get ready for swimsuits over leggings and a whole lot of energy.
The Ice Road

This upcoming Netflix movie has Liam Neeson playing a big-rig ice road driver in chilly northern Canada. After a remote diamond mine collapses, Neeson must lead an impossible rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save the trapped miners. Contending with thawing waters and a massive storm, they soon discover the real threat is one they never saw coming.
False Positive

Release date: June 25
This upcoming Hulu horror-comedy stars Ilana Glazer, Justin Theroux, Sophia Bush, Josh Hamilton, and Pierce Brosnan. The film is supposed to be a modern take on Rosemary’s Baby. After several attempts of trying and failing to get pregnant, a young couple finally finds their dream fertility doctor. But the physician is not what he seems and something sinister is hidden behind his gleaming charm.
